Voice-first on-call · DevOps & SRE

Voice-first on-call alerting. Critical alerts become phone calls.

Critical alerts from Grafana, UptimeRobot, and HTTP webhooks can be missed as push or email. WakeUp Dev turns them into phone calls and requires human acknowledgement—press 1 to ACK. If nobody responds, the on-call cascade escalates automatically. Start free with 5 voice alerts via GitHub.

Works with Grafana, UptimeRobot, HTTP webhooks, and your existing on-call roster for DevOps and SRE incident response.

How it works

Send a POST from Grafana, UptimeRobot, or any HTTP monitoring system to WakeUp Dev. WakeUp Dev calls the on-call responder and waits for a human acknowledgement. If nobody acknowledges the alert, the on-call cascade continues.

  1. Alert
  2. Webhook
  3. Phone call
  4. Press 1 to ACK
  5. Escalate if unanswered

Don't just notify. Get a human acknowledgement.

Traditional notifications tell you something happened. WakeUp Dev is designed for incident response where someone needs to actually respond. A phone call can provide a more direct notification when someone may not be watching their usual alert channels; press-1 ACK confirms a human received the alert before the cascade moves on.

Classic on-call platforms do not scale with your squad

Adding a DevOps engineer should not open another line on the invoice. WakeUp Dev charges for usage: unlimited users, price tied to dispatched alert volume.

WakeUp Dev is designed as a lightweight voice-first alternative for teams that need critical alerts to reach a human—not a full replacement for every on-call platform.

  • Unlimited users in the same workspace

An extra charge for every engineer you add to on-call

  • You pay for the alerts that actually get dispatched

A per-seat subscription, even when the month is quiet

  • TwiML voice call with Gather and digit-1 ACK

Push, email, and Slack; no TwiML call or digit-1 ACK

Audit / Review

An honest product that stands up cleanly against PagerDuty, Opsgenie, and Better Stack. Its three biggest strengths are: the interactive voice call with one-touch acknowledgement (ACK) that cancels voicemail false positives, a commercial model without mandatory per-seat surcharges, and the maturity of its serverless backend (atomically integrating Twilio, Cloudflare Workers, and hybrid Transbank and Lemon Squeezy flows).
